Moves with Mishfish

Moves with Mishfish is a pop-up class series that I have been developing and hosting over the past year: some talking, a warm-up, some improvisational exercises, and a little dance phrase. In these spaces, I encourage a human-first approach to dance. I am very interested in authentic storytelling, and encourage individual choices that feel real and honest. At the core of these classes is community — I strive to build a safe environment in which dancers of all levels can reconnect with their bodies, meet new people, and challenge themselves in order to continue learning and evolving. I have hosted several pop-up classes in NYC and led masterclasses at Santa Clara University. I look forward to expanding this little community that I have been building — I hope to bring Moves with Mishfish to communities across the nation and beyond.

Choreography

This year, I have dived deep into my own art and have been honing my choreographic voice. In addition to making choreography for class, I have been working on a number of personal projects and concept films. Earlier this year, I released my first film: “Always, Never.” My next film, “Butter Heart,” will be released later this year.

This concept film was shot using an iPhone and is self-edited. It features music by CHPTRS. I do not own the rights to this music. No copyright infringement intended.
